Over the weekend, rumors surfaced of the unexpected split between Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson.
The two got together back in May and got engaged weeks later, but now, after five months together sources say both Grande and Davidson have come to a mutual agreement to call it quits.
Initially, details of the split were scarce, but according to TMZ, the breaking point in their relationship was the untimely death of Grande’s ex, #MacMiller.
Sources close to the former couple say the singer was in “an incredibly dark place following her ex-boyfriend’s apparent fatal overdose.” Although she didn’t blame herself, as she believed she “did everything she could to get him sober,” the entire ordeal left her an “emotional wreck.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a result, she learned that she couldn’t be fully invested in her new relationship. But, despite their split, sources say the two have not ruled out the possibility of rekindling their relationship.
