Another “Making the Band” alum has found themselves in legal troubles.
Dylan Dilinjah, a former star from Diddy’s “Making the Band 2” series, was taken into custody in North Carolina for allegedly assaulting a man. According to a newly surfaced arrest warrant, Dilinjah allegedly slapped Joseph Galullo twice across the face during an altercation in Wake County. Police arrived shortly after and arrested the rapper, charging him with assault.
Dilinjah was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 1st. This incident comes after Dilinjah’s name resurfaced in the media last year when he discussed the impact of a “Chappelle’s Show” skit mocking him and his group. In a conversation with the “We Are Flatbush” podcast, Dilinjah shared how devastating the joke was to his career. He recalled the difficulty of getting people to work with him afterward: “Any time I send my music to DJs, they say, ‘Oh, that’s the n***a that Dave Chappelle made fun of. Nah, I’m good on that.'”
Dilinjah is the latest artist from the series to find themselves behind bars. Chopper Young City, also a member of Da Band alongside Dilinjah, was arrested in 2022 on sex trafficking charges, though he has stated in interviews that the case was dropped. More widely reported, their former boss Diddy is behind bars facing decades behind bars for allegedly sex trafficking, sexual assault, and other charges. Another Da Band star, Sara Rivers, is among those suing Diddy for mistreatment.
