Malik Beasley has turned himself in to serve his 120-day jail sentence for gun possession.
On Tuesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves star was booked into Wright County Jail in Minnesota. The four-month jail stint was related to a September 2020 incident where Beasley pulled a gun on an unsuspecting family who was on a home tour in the area.
The 24-year-old was hit with one charge, each of felony threats of violence and felony drug possession. Beasley was initially ordered to begin the sentence on May 26th. However, a court granted him more time, which pushed back his date to June 1st.
Aside from his legal troubles, Beasley has been involved in a messy three-way-love affair with his wife Montana Helena Klein Yao and socialite Larsa Pippen, the estranged wife of NBA legend Scottie Pippen. In the days leading up to his jail sentence, he publicly apologized to Klein Yao for cheating and humiliating her. Unfortunately, this did more harm than good because Larsa and Klein Yao proceeded to bicker back and forth online.
Beasley’s release date is set for August 17th under the condition that he maintains good behavior. For every two days of good conduct, an additional day is credited towards his time served. He has already been credited with two days served,
