Kobe Bryant’s jersey retirement brought out the biggest Mamba fans and the best ballers in the league. The Lakers living legend was honored by the organization and forever immortalized, as his two jerseys were unveiled in the Staples Center on Monday.

Not only did the Staples Center make big bucks from Kobe’s big night, but according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the owner of the arena got a huge piece of the money pie as well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

AEG reportedly sold $824,000 worth of merchandise on Monday, including customized hats, jerseys and more from four different venues. Staples Center secured a whopping $616k.

But, if you didn’t notice, the total sales for AEG are the two numbers that Bryant retired. Number 8 and number 24 – if that isn’t #MambaMentality, I don’t know what is. That’s Baller!
