Man Accused of Groping Woman On Flight Says Trump “Says It’s OK to Grab Women By Their Private Parts”

Amid the increased racial tensions in this country, fueled by the divisive rhetoric of America’s Celebrity-in-Chief, the last thing we need is people trying to justify their actions based on the buffoonery that spills from Trump’s lips.

Nevertheless, here we are.

On Sunday, a man justified an alleged sexual assault with #DonaldTrump’s controversial “grab ‘em by the p*ssy” comment, telling officials, “the president of the United States says it’s OK to grab women by their private parts.”

The incident occurred on a Southwest flight from Houston to New Mexico. According to USA Today, about 20 minutes into the flight, a woman said she felt 49-year-old Bruce Alexander put his hand on her right breast, as he sat behind her on the flight.

At the time, the woman said she thought it was an accident, until 30 minutes later, she felt him grab the back of her arm and grope her around the ribs and then her breast, again. That’s when she stood up and confronted Alexander about his actions, before she asked a flight attendant to give her a new seat.

Upon landing, Alexander was questioned by officials, and then arrested on an abusive sexual contact charge for the incident.

“We take protection of our customers very seriously, and safety is at the forefront of everything we do at Southwest,” the airline told USA TODAY of the incident. “As part of this operating philosophy, Southwest flight attendants are trained in a wide range of sensitive customer issues. When aware of a potentially harmful situation – whether first-hand or reported by someone else – our flight attendants are trained to re-seat customers and notify the pilots to request law enforcement, as appropriate. We cooperate with law enforcement to protect our customers and crews.”
