A man allegedly opened fire on Collins Avenue, Wednesday morning after a stripper he hired for a private show refused to have sex with him.
According to Local 10 News, Tremain Christopher Weekes, 23 year old, from Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested after investigators staked out the hotel where the melee started.
Police claim Weekes and another man met the exotic dancers at Scarlett’s Cabaret in Hallandale Beach. The women claimed they were offered $1,000 to go back to the Grand Beach Hotel and perform what they understood to be a private show.
However when they arrived, the men demanded sex, and the women claim they got their cars from the hotel valet and proceeded to leave.
That’s when cops said Weeks got into his car, a white BMW SUV, and followed one of the women who was driving a white Mercedes.
According to the arrest report, Weekes caught up with the woman and pointed a black firearm at her, firing several shots as she sped away.
The woman suffered lacerations, believed to be from shattered glass and was treated and released on the scene.
Once Weekes was taken into custody he told investigators that he did invite the women to his room but said they were in a hurry to leave and he soon noticed $1,000 was missing. He also claimed it was his friend that opened fire from his car because someone in one of the women’s cars shot at them first.
Weekes is now facing a charge of attempted felony murder.
