A Louisiana man begged not to be booted from Walt Disney World after getting arrested for refusing a temperature check at Disney Springs in Florida.
According to Deadline, Kelly Sills, 47, was arrested on February 13 after going around a temperature screening tent. Authorities stopped him outside The Boathouse restaurant, and he refused to go back. He also refused to leave the property, according to the arrest report.
As he was being handcuffed, Sills told officers, “I spent $15,000,” referring to the price tag of his vacation. Sills tried to use that as leverage to stay. The arresting officers explained that it’s private property, and he was officially tresspassing.
As he was being led out, he finally gave in, asking if they could take his temperature, to which they replied, “they’ll do it at the jail.”
Sills pleaded not guilty to a charge of misdemeanor trespassing, according to the outlet. His attorney declined to comment on the case.
