Shoppers were left horrified after hearing that a woman had been sexually assaulted at a Miami Walmart.
According to arrest documents, Brendan Harvey, 28, attacked the woman from behind while she was shopping. He allegedly pulled her dress up while touching her backside.
Police say that when the woman turned around, he pushed her to the ground and ripped off her panties while proceeding to touch below her waist.
Two witnesses immediately came to her aid and removed Harvey from off of the woman.
“I don’t even know what to say; I’m at a loss of words. Where is the protection? It’s a shame; it’s a shame there are kids that come here, there are families,” Kayla Carter said.
Harvey was arrested on a Sunday by Miami-Dade officers.
On Monday in bond court, a Judge revealed that Harvey was already on probation, and his bond was set at $50,000.
Harvey was ordered to have no contact with the victim and stay away from Walmart.
