A South Carolina man was recently arrested and charged for tattooing a minor in a fast-food restaurant.
Laurens Police Chief Chrissie Latimore said Brandon Presha, 28, was arrested on Tuesday for illegal tattooing and underage tattooing. In both cases, the bond was set at $25,000.
It was brought to police attention last week when detectives were tagged in a video on social media of a child being tattooed.
When police arrived, they discovered that Presha was an unlicensed tattoo artist, and the person who received the tattoo was underage.
Latimore didn’t say how old the child was or provide any other details.
“It was an absolutely disgusting display,” Latimore told WYFF-TV.
The tattooing looked like it took place in the front dining area of a McDonald’s, and Presha appeared “pretty comfortable,” like he had tattooed there before, Latimore added.
“Tragically, this was going on inside this newly remodeled business,” Latimore said.
Latimore stated the business had recently been purchased by new owners, who swiftly stepped in to assist police with their investigation.
Currently, Presha is being held at a county detention center, and it’s unclear who will represent him.
