Man Arrested At Louis Vuitton Store For Pretending To Be Ochocinco

On Friday, a 25-year-old man was arrested for trying to pass as former NFL receiver Chad Johnson in an attempt to blow $18,000 at a Colorado Louis Vuitton Store.

According to reports, Mervin Cabe and two other individuals went to the Louis Vuitton store in Aspen, Colorado for a shopping spree. Upon arrival, the three individuals began pulling products off the shelves at random, totaling the costs to $18,548. However, the credit card Cabe tried to use was declined, which prompted him to use an Apple Pay account on his phone. Although the second payment went through, the store required a photo ID to successfully complete the transaction. But when Cabe was unable to provide corresponding identification, he gave Johnson’s name instead.

The cashier then processed the transaction and called the police, who arrived just before Cabe left the premises. Upon arrival, officials asked Cabe for the credit card number that was linked to the Apple Pay account but he was unable to provide it. However, he maintained that he was indeed Chad Javon Johnson but when cops asked him the year he was born, he said 1991, nearly 13 years after Ochocinco.

Eventually, Cabe admitted to his wrongdoing and was taken in and booked on felony counts of identity theft and unauthorized use of financial transaction device. In turn, Johnson addressed the matter, saying he was flattered by Cabe’s attempt to portray him.

“I am officially famous now, my cheap ass barely spends $18k a year let alone in one store, I only shop at urban outfitters, H&M, Zara, Target & thrift stores as most of you know who actually have followed my cheap ass throughout the years but this flattering. I’m f*cking famous now,” said the real Chad Johnson.

Ochocinco has since offered to bail Cabe out of jail, tweeting, “It’s enough of us locked up as is, I’ll bail him out, just want to talk to the young bull that’s all.”
