Florida Man Charged In Killing His 68-Year-Old Mother

A central Florida man is accused of beating his mother to death and is now in jail, authorities said, but no motive has been given. ⠀

NBC Miami reports that the 37-year-old man identified as Adam Savage was arrested Thursday at his mother’s home in Sanford and charged with second-degree murder. 

Family members told detectives that Savage had called them early Thursday morning about an unspecified emergency at the home, but when they arrived, he tried to prevent them from entering his mother’s bedroom.

After forcing their way in, family members found 68-year-old Vicki Savage, suffering from obvious signs of trauma and called 911, Savage’s family members held him until deputies arrived and declared his mother dead at the scene.⠀⠀⠀

He is currently being held without bond.
