Her precise involvement in the shooting was unknown at the time.
At around 7 p.m. on Monday, the victim, who is 23 years old, was working at the fast food restaurant at 1531 Fulton St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant when Morgan’s mother allegedly started verbally attacking him over her french fries.
Police claimed that the woman was FaceTiming her son during the altercation, which caused him to barge into the restaurant and fight the employee.
“The mom complained that her fries were cold,” the police source said. “The mom was on FaceTime with her son, and he heard the dispute between her and the clerk. The son and the clerk got into a dispute inside, and it went outside.”
At that point, Morgan pulled out a gun and shot the employee.
According to the police, the man was still in critical condition Wednesday morning at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center.
Lisa Fulmore, 40, the mother of Morgan, revealed exclusively to The Post on Tuesday that she had spoken to her son with the Police.
“My son is just saying that he gotta do what he gotta do, and the [victim] came after him and whatever happened, happened,” she said.
According to police, the victim had no prior offenses, and there is no evidence that he had a weapon at the time of his shooting.
