Man Confesses To Hanging His Newly Engaged Ex-Wife

A Russian man is facing murder charges after confessing to the murder of his ex-wife.

Ilnar, 38, noticed his ex wearing a new engagement ring, which enraged him enough to hang her with a blow dryer cord, naked, on the balcony.

Found by her father, Ramzia Gimranova, 32, was pronounced dead immediately. The New York Post reported she had also been beaten.

Gimranova and Ilnar divorced about one year ago after Ilnar refused to stop gambling their money away. According to the Post, the couple had loan debts of £5,000, about $7,000.

Gimranova’s hanging comes about one week after her begging police for protection from Ilnar. She claimed he was stalking her.

According to friends of Gimranova, she was not ready to remarry due to the trauma of her relationship with her ex-husband, although she accepted the ring from her fiancé.

Ilnar and Gimranova share a 6-year-old daughter.
