A man who was found guilty for his involvement in the 2018 robbery of Safaree Samuels is now facing up to 50 years in prison when he’s sentenced on January 28th.
Tacuma Ashman was found guilty of first-degree robbery as was one of three suspects involved in robbing the “Love and Hip Hop” star.
The suspects reportedly scanned Samuels’ social media page in order to find out which pieces of jewelry he wore most often.
The suspects were accused of placing a GPS tracking device under Safaree’s car in an effort to monitor his location.
The alleged mastermind behind the plot was a “friend” of Safaree’s, Shawn Harewood, who reportedly recruited Ashman and another man, Carl Harry, to carry out the robbery.
Ashman and his accomplice then robbed Safaree of $180,000 worth of jewelry at gunpoint from his Fort Lee, NJ home.
After the robbery, the suspects led police on a high-speed car chase across the George Washington Bridge and into NYC.
Ashman was also convicted on charges of resisting arrest and weapons possession.
