Georgia’s seemingly haunted Lake Lanier has claimed another life. Authorities say a man was electrocuted after he jumped into the lake.
Thomas Milner, 24, was killed Thursday after he reportedly jumped into the lake from his family’s doc. He started screaming moments later and yelling for help.
He was being electrocuted from within the lake itself, TMZ reported.
Neighbors reportedly took a boat over to Thomas. One person jumped into the water to help him but described feeling a burning sensation that he recognized as an electrical shock. He swam ashore, turned off the power, and re-entered the water to help Thomas.
After Thomas was pulled back onto the dock, his uncle gave him CPR until first responders arrived.
He was taken to Northside Forsyth Hospital where he later died, Fox Atlanta News reported.
