A Japanese man dressed as The Joker stabbed multiple people in a bizarre incident onboard a train in Tokyo.
The terrifying rampage that was caught on video showed passengers trying to escape as the man also attempted to set the train on fire.
Passengers scrambled from one train car to another to escape the chaos that unfolded as the train headed to the Shinjuku station.
Witnesses told police that the 24-year-old suspect was wearing a Joker costume and brandishing a long knife with blood on it while riding the train on Halloween.
Bystanders thought it was a Halloween joke, but they realized it was real when he started swinging the knife and stabbing multiple people.
The man also doused the interior of the train with some sort of a liquid in an attempt to set it ablaze.
Authorities confirmed least 17 people were hurt with various injuries.
