Some people don’t need kids, including a Wisconsin man who admitted to fatally punching his 5-year-old son over a piece of cheesecake.
Travis Stackhouse, 30, has been convicted of homicide in Milwaukee County. He was on trial this week for first-degree reckless homicide.
The incident occurred in June 2019. Apparently, the father was mad that his children were eating the cheesecake he had received for Father’s Day. He admitted to hitting his son, Sir Amer Stackhouse, who died due to the punch.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office found that the child suffered a ruptured stomach, bruised kidneys, and a torn adrenal gland. He died from blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
After hitting the boy, he left the house to go out with his friends to a bar until 2 Am. When he returned home, his girlfriend and the young boy’s mother called 911.
There were two days of testimony from state witnesses, and the father agreed to plead guilty to second-degree reckless homicide, child abuse, and child neglect.
