A man in Pennsylvania was eating Thanksgiving dinner inside his home when he was killed by a stray bullet that pierced through a window.
25-year-old Edilberto Miguel Palaez Moctezuma was enjoying the holiday on Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. when a bullet came through the window of his family’s home and hit him in the torso.
Montgomery County prosecutors claim the deadly shooting happened after alleged triggerman 19-year-old Kevon Clarke was kicked out of a nearby Thanksgiving dinner party because he stole alcohol.
Clarke allegedly returned moments later and fired seven shots during a heated dispute about the missing liquor.
District Attorney Kevin Steele said in a statement, “This is the second innocent bystander killed this year by a senseless dispute that turned to gun violence by someone who is not even legally able to own a gun.”
Authorities are still looking for Clarke, who is said to be armed and dangerous.
