Dallas police have charged a man responsible for attacking two women after a minor accident on North Central Expressway last Friday.
A tipster identified Jaleel Sheehy, 25, as the man who allegedly punched two women in a video shared over the weekend on Instagram and TikTok.
According to the women who shared the video, they were involved in a minor crash and stopped to exchange insurance information when the man became hostile and started punching them.
In an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by NBC 5, the woman’s passenger started recording video when the man started punching the driver. When the man was about to walk away, he suddenly turned around and started to attack the passenger.
According to the women, the man stopped beating them after another woman got out of the car and told him to stop.
Eventually, the three women left the highway after he drove off and stopped a policeman along Cedar Plaza Lane. They claimed to have been sideswiped at 12:15 a.m. on the 2400 block of North Central Expressway and that the assault happened after the crash when both drivers attempted to exchange insurance information.
According to investigators, both women declined medical attention.
Sheehy was arrested Tuesday and charged with misdemeanor assault. He was booked into the Dallas County Jail and released after posting a $3,000 bond.
