A Florida man said United Airlines kicked him off a flight Wednesday morning after he tried to test a federal mask mandate by wearing a pair of women’s underwear on his face.
In a video released by another passenger, Adam Jeene was walking off flight 1750 from Fort Lauderdale to Washington D.C. wearing red underwear hanging from his face as a flight attendant escorted him out.
The Cape Coral man obtained an e-mail from United Airlines saying he’s now banned from flights till the passenger incident review committee has reviewed his case.
In an interview with Fox 4, Jenne says he thinks the rule requiring people to wear masks on a plane is silly, but it is a federal law until May, so he decided to follow the rule in a silly way.
Shortly after he left, Jenne said several other passengers ended up getting off the plane to support him.
United Airlines launched a press release saying Jenne wasn’t in compliance with the federal mask mandate. They said their glad the problem was addressed on the tarmac instead of in the air.
Jenne said this isn’t the first time he’s been kicked off a flight for this. He was recently kicked off of a Delta flight for the same reason and believed he was following those mask mandate guidelines with his underwear mask.
