A Chicago man has pleaded guilty to operating a sex trafficking scheme in Los Angeles.
On Monday, 45-year-old Jerome Terry Jr. admitted to misleading women into sex trafficking by promising them careers in modeling. According to CBS Los Angeles, the alleged incidents happened around 2014.
The news outlet reports Terry allegedly created a fake management company for models called CanadianGirlzRock Inc. It was reportedly a cover-up for his sex trafficking operation. He was eventually extradited from Canada; he’s been in federal custody since 2019.
If he is convicted, Terry could be looking at seven to 15 years in prison. He is set to appear in Los Angeles federal court on Oct. 25.
