During Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance at Sunday’s Super Bowl, one fan made a bold political statement by waving a Palestine flag in the midst of the electrifying performance.

Most of the crowd didn’t seem to notice the unidentified man as they watched Lamar, SZA and actor Samuel Jackson grace the stage. However, several attendees recording on their phones watched as he ran behind the dancers waving the flag.

In a dramatic moment, the demonstrator was chased down and tackled by multiple security guards, swiftly removing him from the area. His intentions behind the display were not immediately clear, but his actions drew attention to the ongoing tensions surrounding Palestine and the region’s political issues. The incident quickly became a viral moment on social media.

Despite the situation, Lamar continued with his routine, undeterred by the brief disruption that did not interfere with the show. It’s unclear how the man was able to pull off such a stunt given the immense security at the Super Bowl.  It’s also unknown if he was escorted from the entire game or just the main stage.

The protestor has not come forward to detail his motives or identify himself.
