A Stamford man has been arrested for stabbing a young Walmart cashier because he was not satisfied with the price of milk.
The attack took place on Sunday at a Walmart located at 910 Wolcott St. in Waterbury, Connecticut. Authorities say that 40-year-old Asfir Hicham became upset when the 19-year-old cashier assisting him scanned the milk he wanted to purchase and told him the price. Hicham walked around to the register after hearing the cost. He proceeded to grab the teenager by her hair and stab her behind her ear with a folding knife.
After he was done attacking her, Hicham reportedly sat down and waited for police to arrive. The young woman was transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital, where she was treated for the stab wound. She is said to be in stable condition.
Hicham was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and breach of peace. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
