The Memphis Police Department made the announcement Monday, noting that Dandridge, 21, was wanted in connection with the March 22 shooting outside the Westin Hotel in Downtown Memphis. The attack claimed the life of Letorian Hunt, a 27-year-old rapper known as Sayso P, who was signed to Sauce Walka’s label.
Sauce Walka, whose real name is Albert Mondane, was shot in the leg during the incident and later transported to Regional One Hospital. He’s been seen on social media in good spirits as he recovers.
Police say multiple gunmen arrived in a white four-door vehicle before opening fire on the two men outside the hotel. Hunt died at the scene, while Mondane survived.
Dandridge had been charged with multiple felonies including:
First-degree murder
Two counts of attempted first-degree murder
Two counts of firearm use during a dangerous felony
Auto theft
While Dandridge has been found deceased, details surrounding where, when, and how he died have not been made public.
Kevin Brown, 22, remains at large and is still wanted in connection to the shooting. He faces similar charges including first-degree murder and attempted murder. Authorities believe he may be armed and dangerous.
