Man Who Took Plea Deal and Testified Against Other Defendants in XXXTentacion Murder Trial Receives Seven Year Prison Sentence, Five Years Credit for Time Served

Wednesday, a Florida judge sentenced the final defendant in the murder of rapper XXXTentacion to seven years in prison with credit for time served.

Robert Allen previously took a plea deal after agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors and testify against the three other defendants in the case, Trayvon Newsome, Michael Boatwright and Dedrick Williams. The three men were sentenced to life in prison last month after being convicted in March.

Allen, who has been incarcerated since 2018, has already served five years of his sentence. After serving the remaining two, he will be on probation for 20 years.

In June 2018, XXXTentacion– born Jahseh Onfroy– was fatally shot as he was leaving a motorcycle shop in Pompano Beach.
