Maralee Nichols is speaking out after it was revealed through DNA testing that Tristan Thompson is the father of her child.

“There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichols’s baby,” the Instagram model’s publicist told Page Six. “Tristian made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”

On Monday, the NBA player issued a statement responding to the DNA test results proving he’s the father of Maralee Nichols’ one-month-old baby boy.

Thompson took to his Instagram to voice that he takes “full responsibility” for his actions and that he plans to raise his child amicably with Nichols.

“I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately,” his statement concluded.

He also posted a separate story apologizing to his longtime girlfriend and reality T.V. star, Khloe Kardashian. “Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I’ve caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years,” Thompson wrote. “My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”

It seems that Nichols isn’t entirely buying into Thompson’s seemingly remorseful statement after he said he allegedly asked Nichols to get an abortion and accused her of having an STD in 2021. He also threatened her over child support in court documents.

This isn’t the first or second time Thompson has been in a situation like this.

In 2018, Khloe went into labor just hours after pictures and videos of Tristan kissing another woman surfaced. The athlete was seen cozying up with other women in a bar, and he appeared to be walking into a hotel with another woman.

Kardashian and Thompson broke up over the summer after getting back together.

After taking him back the following year, Thompson cheated on Khloe again with her sister, Kylie Jenner’s ex-best friend, Jordyn Woods.

In the video, the two were seen kissing. In an interview with Red Table Talk, Woods said she had not hooked up with Tristan before and that he kissed her during the party.

Khloe Kardashian, who shares a 3-year-old daughter with Thomspon, has yet to publicly address his recent apology.
