Newly engaged couple, Mariah Carey and James Packer, have one major problem standing in their way. They’re both still married.
Mariah Carey, who married Nick Cannon in 2008, is not legally divorced yet. The couple filed divorce papers in January 2015, but as we all know, divorce is a slow process. Apparently the hold up involves money. Despite the fact that there was a very specific prenup in place, the former couple still have not fully settled their financial issues.
Billionaire James Packer, on the other hand, is still legally married to Erica Packer, who happens to currently be dating Seal. James and Erica separated in 2013, they’ve both clearly moved on, the laws in Australia have slowed the divorce process way down.
