Mariah Carey Avoids Question About Her Twins Spending Christmas With Their “Step” Siblings

Welp, looks like Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s children won’t be celebrating Christmas together this year.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Mariah spoke on her upcoming special Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues. While on the topic of Christmas, ET’s reporter Kevin Frazier inquired about Mimi’s holiday plans.

Mariah usually spends Christmas in Aspen with her twins and at times, Nick Cannon as well. When Kevin asked if her and Nick’s twins would spend Christmas with their “step” siblings, Mimi quickly cut the question short.

“Is it step? I don’t think it’s step if you’re not married to the person. I don’t know about that. That’s a different–that’s a different interview for you,” Carey says.

Now of course we know Frazier meant “half” siblings since Cannon & Carey are no longer married. But by Mariah’s response, it seems as if the topic is a sensitive subject.

Mariah and Nick were married April 2008-November 2016. The two separated in August 2014. Nick have welcomed five more kids following the split from Carey.
