Mariah Carey Says “Infinity” Not About Nick Cannon….Kinda. (VIDEO)

Earlier this week Mariah Carey dropped a new song titled “Infinity” that full of lots and lots of subliminal shots, but was Nick Cannon the intended target?

Given the two’s recent break up and the lyrics having to do with marriage, him being corny and her upgrading him, one could definitely assume it’s about the actor. Mariah, on the other hand, doesn’t say who the song is about at all. “I tend to be very private about my personal life,” she tells Access Hollywood. “Even if the song were about anyone in particular, I would never say that.” When asked if she feels vulnerable after putting her personal life out there, Mariah says, “I don’t feel it’s my personal life. I feel like the song is for all the women and men who have gone through any type of relationship. We’ve all had our ups and downs, certainly I have.”

Sounds to me like Mariah is dancing around the subject. One listen and you can instantly tell that “Infinity” is directed towards Nick. The lyrics are very very specific. And let’s not assume Mariah hasn’t dropped an R&B diss track for an ex before.

Either way, the song is pretty catchy and as the only new song her greatest hits album, I can see it doing pretty well. Watch Mariah’s Access Hollywood interview below.
