The Queen of Christmas reigns supreme!
Mariah Carey is still breaking records with her holiday smash hit, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” a feat she accomplishes annually.
On Christmas Eve, Carey broke the all-time record for most Spotify streams in a single day. According to TMZ, the song was streamed over 23,000,000 (23,701,697) times, surpassing last year’s streaming numbers by more than 2,000,000.
Although Carey breaks the record every holiday season in addition to landing the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart each year, this year, the Queen was temporarily dethroned by Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.”
Lee’s song hit the top spot 65 years after it was released. According to Rolling Stone, she now holds the longest climb to the No. 1 spot.
