Marshawn Lynch couldn’t stay away for too long. It’s been reported that the 30-year-old running back is returning to professional football and has struck a deal with the Oakland Raiders.
According to the NFL Network, Lynch has officially agreed to terms with the Raiders. Now, all that is left is for the Seattle Seahawks to trade him. This is simply a formality at this point since the Seahawks already granted him permission to meet with the Raiders last week.
Initially, Lynch hinted at his retirement in February 2016, after nine seasons in the NFL, five of which he spent with Seattle. He made the announcement by simply tweeting a peace emoji and a photo of his cleats hanging on a telephone wire. An official announcement was never made, however. Instead, the Seahawks placed the five-time pro-bowler on the reserve/retired list in May 2016.
It looks like Beastmode is coming home. How do you feel about the news?
