Master P Named President of Basketball Operations at the University of New Orleans

Master P just made it official as the new President of Basketball Operations at the University of New Orleans.

At Wednesday’s press conference, P spoke straight from the heart.

“Today is history,” he said. “We’ve come a long way. Growing up in New Orleans, when I was a kid, I looked at the University of New Orleans basketball program as probably one of the best in the country. Every kid wanted to come to the Lakefront Arena and be a part of this.”

Master P has been about the game for decades. Back in 1999, he was out there grinding in Charlotte Hornets’ training camp, proving his skills were bigger than rap.

Now, he’s locked in on bringing that same passion to UNO.

“I’m just so appreciative and blessed that God has given me this opportunity … to rebuild this program.”

For P, this is about culture, family, and legacy.

“We gonna change this. This is our culture, this is our team, and this is our family. We want to give that family love out here to the city to bring the people back where it should be at.”

Fans can expect the UNO basketball team to level up. No Limit. No excuses.
