Mathew Knowles Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

Beyonce’s father, Mathew Knowles, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

During an interview with Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan, the 67-year-old revealed the news and opened up about living with the disease. The full interview is set to air on Wednesday.

In a shared clip, Knowles details what it was like telling his family about the diagnosis. Knowles and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, were married for 31 years but split back in 2011. The two are also parents to singer-songwriter Solange, and Knowles is now married to Gena Charmaine Avery.

Knowles was famously the manager of former girls group Destiny’s Child, and Solange.
