Last week, former “Basketball Wives” star Gloria Govan was arrested after a dispute with her ex-husband, Matt Barnes, over the custody schedule for their twin boys.
In the incident, Govan picked the boys up for school ahead of the long Labor Day weekend. But when Barnes arrived and informed the former reality star of the custody schedule, she flew into a rage and attempted to follow him and the boys home.
She then attempted to block the car in, which prompted a bystander to phone officials. As a result, Govan was arrested for violating a court order and child endangerment.
Now, Barnes is looking to use Govan’s recent run-in with the law against her in his renewed fight for custody- this time, he’s demanding full custody.
According to The Blast, Barnes has reportedly filed an emergency motion in Los Angeles for full physical and legal custody of the twins, as he believes she is a danger to their safety. He has also asked Govan be served with a no-contact order, in an attempt to keep her 100 yards away from him, the kids and their school.
But, Govan says she is not going down without a fight. In fact, according to the publication, Govan has requested visitation with a court-appointed monitor, in the wake of her recent legal issue.
In addition to that, she believes her arrest was unwarranted and has hired attorney Mark Gross to defend her case.
