Maxine Waters’ L.A. Office Evacuated After Receiving Suspicious “ANTHRAX” Package

Democratic House Representative, #MaxineWaters, apparently evacuated her Los Angeles office after receiving a package labeled “ANTHRAX,” TMZ reported.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A local CBS affiliate also reported that police and hazardous materials team were dispatched to Waters’ office to investigate the package.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This incident follows several death threats the public activist has received since her comments regarding confronting The Trump administration officials in public. Amidst the danger of her livelihood, Waters was forced to cancel speaking engagements and appearances. Yet, when she returned she had some words to get off her chest:

“I know that there are those who are talking about censuring me, talking about kicking me out of Congress, talking about shooting me, talking about hanging me,” Waters said last month. “All I have to say is this: if you shoot me, you better shoot straight.”

Fortunately there were no reported injuries caused by the suspicious package, and according to the Los Angeles Times and LAPD spokesperson, Mike Lopez, the authorities are opening an investigation into the incident.
