McConnell’s and Martinelli’s Team Up For New Ice Cream Flavor That Pays Homage to a Thanksgiving Classic

McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream and Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider have created a dessert guaranteed to fly off the shelves this holiday season.

Donned the Martinelli’s Apple Cider & Cranberry Jam Ice Cream, this delicious dairy treat infuses McConnell’s ice cream with non-alcoholic Sparkling Apple Cider.  To top off the creamy goodness, McConnell’s has packed the pints with ribbons of its home-made cranberry jam, an ode to the quintessential cranberry sauce seen at Thanksgiving tables across the country.

As for taste, the ice cream does possess the “sparkling” flavor of the cider.  So think of cream soda but in frozen custard form with cranberry hints.

Gun Ruder, president and CEO of S. Martinelli’s & Co., expressed his excitement about the collaboration, which is a first for the brand.

“We wanted to make this season even more memorable by creating a uniquely flavored limited-edition ice cream, and California-based McConnell’s was the perfect partner.  They’ve successfully captured the essence of Thanksgiving in one scoop of ice cream,” he shared in a statement.

This limited edition is only available through the holiday season but can only be purchased at select retailers.  If stores in your area do not have Martinelli’s Apple Cider & Cranberry Jam Ice Cream, you may order a 16-ounce pint online at the official McConnell’s website.
