McDonald’s is about to debut its Beyond Meat McPlant burger in the U.S., but it will only be in eight locations in the nation.
Plant-based peeps, get ready; Mickie D’s is about to drop its long-awaited McPlant burger next month. This all comes as part of McDonald’s move to implement more plant-based options onto its menu. All the planty goodness will be available on Nov. 3.
Between the buns is a meat-free Beyond patty, which is made up of peas, rice, and potatoes. The burger will be decked out with a slice of American cheese and mayonnaise. Plant-based people should also note that the burgers will be cooked on the same grills as the beef patties at McDonald’s, the news outlet reports.
The cities that will get to test out the McPlant include Irving, Texas; Carrollton, Texas; Cedar Falls, Iowa; Jennings, Louisiana; Lake Charles, Louisiana; El Segundo, California; and Manhattan Beach, California, CNBC reports.
Some places around the world, including Sweden, Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, have already gotten the opportunity to try the McPlant burgers. McDonald’s first tested a meatless burger in partnership with Beyond in Canada back in 2019.
