We are saddened to report that McDonald’s will not be bringing back its all-day breakfast menu as previously rumored.
Talks of the fast food chain re-introducing round-the-clock breakfast sent fans of the golden arches rejoicing earlier this week. A Twitter user set off the pandemonium when they shared a screenshot of a McDonald’s press release detailing the all-day offering beginning in October.
Unfortunately, the news began to spread so quickly that a spokesperson for the chain had to shut down the chatter. They explained that the press release circulated was from 2015, when the all-day breakfast menu was initially launched.

While enjoying McGriddles and Breakfast Burritos at any point throughout the day was a plus amongst customers, chain operators were eager to get rid of the never-ending menu. Franchise owners frequently voiced their concerns to former CEO Steve Easterbrook, who introduced the all-day breakfast to boost sales. Operators also complained that having the items available all day slowed down operating times, making for long lines and less money, considering that breakfast is typically cheaper than regular menu items.
All-day breakfast was officially given the boot in 2020. However, you can still get the early morning selections up until 10:30 a.m. every day.
