Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin’s divorce proceedings are winding down, according to legal docs obtained by The Blast.
The outlet reports that Franklin filed a “preliminary declaration of disclosure” Wednesday, indicating he has turned over his financial information. Typically, this process occurs towards the end of divorce proceedings. It could signal that a settlement will be reached shortly.Â
In his filing, Franklin asked the court to terminate its ability to award either one of them spousal support. Franklin and Good most likely have a prenup in place or have already come to an agreement regarding their finances.
The documents show the couple has been separated for about four months. Franklin cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
Good and Franklin had been married for more than nine years. The couple issued a joint statement following the divorce filing.Â
“After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected,” the pair wrote.
“We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love,” they continued.
“We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife,” the exes added. “We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.”
