Meagan Good opened up during an appearance on The Breakfast Club alongside her Harlem castmates, sharing how her faith has guided her through life’s challenges and how it plays a central role in her relationship with actor Jonathan Majors. Despite the public scrutiny surrounding their relationship, Meagan revealed she has never wavered in her belief that she is exactly where she’s meant to be.

“I was talking to God, and I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be,” Meagan said, reflecting on how she has navigated difficult times with unwavering trust in her faith.
Meagan, who finalized her divorce from producer and pastor DeVon Franklin in December 2021 after nearly a decade of marriage, shared how her faith has been her anchor. “I’ve learned that things won’t always make sense to me, and sometimes they won’t make sense to other people—and that’s OK. As long as you are in alignment with God and trusting the path you’re on, that’s it.”
Her relationship with Majors has been under the spotlight as the actor faced significant legal challenges. In December 2023, Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges—assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree—stemming from a domestic violence case involving his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
Despite the headlines, Meagan stood by Majors and found strength in her faith, refusing to let outside opinions define her decisions. “The more that I’ve trusted the path I’m on, the happier I’ve been. I don’t think I’ve been this happy since I was a kid.”
Her Harlem co-star Jerrie Johnson also addressed the public speculation about their relationship, shutting down rumors that it was a publicity stunt. “I remember Meagan coming back to the house and saying, ‘I think I love this man.’ This was before everything happened. People don’t understand how publicity works if they think this was staged. Meagan doesn’t need that kind of attention—she’s been doing this for 30 years.”
Meagan also spoke about how years in the spotlight have helped her develop a thicker skin. “I’ve already been through all the seasons—all the media takeouts, all the gossips, all the dragging—and I just don’t care anymore,” she said with confidence.
