“This is a very important moment. This is a very important moment,” said Meek. He now says it’s his responsibility help Black men, and to shed light on our crooked and racist justice. “I got a lot of important people depending on me, and not talking about them people [public officials]. I’m talking about the men that’s depending on me going through the same thing that I’m going through.”

Mill isn’t completely free just yet, the judge over the case has set a trial hearing for June for which Meek’s original charges could be dropped or a new trial could be requested. Meek said in his Wednesday interview, “No I don’t feel free,” Mill told Holt on Wednesday. “I ain’t feel free since I caught this case at the age of 19.”
