Meek Mill is reflecting on his own prior beef with Drake amid the rapper’s lawsuit and Kendrick Lamar issues.
The explosive tension between Meek and Drizzy began in 2015 when Meek accused Drake of using ghostwriters, with Quentin Miller’s name later surfacing as the alleged mastermind behind many of Drake’s hits. In their war of words, Drake unveiled his famous “Back to Back” diss track, which helped him emerge victorious in the public eye.
Now, with the Toronto superstar suing Universal Music Group for defamation over Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” Meek was asked to comment. Arsonal Da Rebel, a battle rapper, questioned how Meek felt about Drake turning a rap feud into a legal battle. While he didn’t directly address the case, the Philly native shared his post-beef experience, recalling how his label tried to block his music release after the fallout.
“Label told me don’t drop nothing .. I went against that and dropped dc4 mixxtape ‘Shari Bryant backed me herself’ 90k first week to heat up,” Meek tweeted. Reflecting on the industry’s challenges, he added, “I couldn’t make any playlist either… but I knew 80% was campaign! Influence for the net only.”

Meek also stated, “It all comes down to who know who… once I started owning companies I wanted to be in convo with the high level shakers.” He expressed confidence in his future: “2025 my team right now ima make a 100m off rap because I was in a system so long ima break that jawn.”
It all comes down to who know who …once I started owning companies I wanted to be in convo with the high level shakers and owners if I made more than 100m on a label because not the only business I got and I deal with the top people at companies to get top results! https://t.co/uqh0jcxWJE
