In the lawsuit obtained by the publication, the family of the victim says Graves had just left a Connecticut concert venue when a brawl broke out in the parking lot. The violence quickly led to gunfire and Graves was shot and killed.

The family blames the rapper, as well as the label, for allowing “thugs to remain on the premises, after exhibiting disorderly, disruptive, argumentative, angry and/or agitated behavior toward patrons.” As a result, the estate is suing for unspecified damages.

The rapper is also facing a lawsuit from the family of a second victim, who died at the scene.
