Over the weekend, Meek Mill sat down with Tidal’s Elliott Wilson to talk all things, “Championships,” from his journey, criminal history, and advocacy for prison reform to his reconciliation with Drake, which also included a great story about an awkward moment in their beef. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
“This my first time, I was hype as shit,” Meek said as he explained the story, adding that Jay-Z and Beyoncé invited him and Nicki Minaj out to eat. “I’m from the hood, Hov and Beyonce like ‘Come eat with us,’ i’m like, ‘Damn, I’m about to double date with Hov and Beyonce right now, this shit is incredible.’”
However, things took a turn for the worse for the Philly Native, when he realized his idol had control of the playlist.
“So, Hov got the playlist. He just clicking through shit, he clicking through, ‘Back to Back’ come on by mistake while we at the table,” he said, as the crowd laughed. “So, Beyonce and Hov and Nicki, everybody, just looking, like they don’t know what the fuck is going on.”
“I gotta take a shit now,” Meek said. “I don’t even know if they remember that, but shit, I remember that.”
