Meet Jackie Christie’s Other Daughter, Takari Lee Christie

You may recall on Basketball Wives LA,  Jackie Christie & Draya having an intimate conversation a few episodes ago. Draya mentioned being tired of fighting for her respect while Jackie shared in the tears and mentioned that she understands the hurt and that her own daughter hates her. Many thought she was referring to her daughter Chantel…she wasn’t.  Jackie has another daughter that we don’t get to hear or see much of. Her name is Takari Lee Christie and she’s Jackie’s oldest daughter. Not only that, the two have had an ongoing feud for years. 

A Little Background: Takari is Jackie’s daughter from a past relationship. Doug is not her father but he’s been around since she was 3 or 4. Takari and Chani are very close but she doesn’t get see her youngest brother. Takari left her mother’s house at an early age and was raised by her grandmother (the grandmother that died of cancer).  Takari says she has no childhood memories of her mother and that her mother just came to visit occasionally. She says Jackie left her with her grandmother who struggled to provide for her while Jackie lived lavish with Doug.

When asked about her relationship with Doug, Takari says “Doug has always been a father figure for me, he took me on as his daughter and it was hard work. Since my mother and I have not got along Doug has pulled away.Now we don’t have a relationship at all.” Takari also says she’s never felt good enough for her mother and that she was never loved. Takari says she’s always wanted a mother/daughter relationship with her mother and in 2011 she and her son went to live in a home Jackie owned before abruptly being kicked out without warning. After being forced to relocate, Takari took to Twitter to not only blast Jackie for kicking her out, but for also not allowing her to see her grandmother on her birthday.

This all happened in 2011 and for the most part things seemed to be pretty quiet since then.

In 2012 Takari made an appearance on Basketball Wives LA season 2 alongside her sister Chantel during a “family therapy” episode.

We’ve gotten to see how well Chantel and Jackie have been living for the last 3-4 years. We totally forgot Jackie had a daughter that we don’t even get to see. 

Takari Lee has been interested in writing a book about her life with (or without) Jackie and needless to say, Jackie isn’t here for it. We’ll have more on that later.
