Tory Lanez’s criminal trial stemming from the incident where he’s accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion has been delayed as Meg’s former friend Kelsey Harris gets subpoenaed.
The trial was set to start on Wednesday but was pushed back. Jury selection is reportedly now due to begin on December 5.
Tory requested the delay as his lawyer was busy with the arbitration of Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer.
Tory arrived at the courthouse on Wednesday before Kelsey was brought in and ordered to return on December 9 under a subpoena from prosecutors.
As you know, Kelsey was Megan’s former best friend and was present during the alleged shooting. Kelsey must now remain on stand-by as a possible witness after jury selection.
“They’re keeping their options open,” defense lawyer Lou Shapiro said about the subpoena. “One way or another, they believe she could be beneficial to their case.”
