Megan Thee Stallion has teamed up with Netflix for a comedy series based loosely on her life.
The announcement of the new show arrives months after Netflix announced a first-look deal with the Houston Hottie to create and executive produce original content for the platform. On Thursday, the first project under the deal was announced.
Meg pitched the series to the streamer, and they instantly fell in love with it, says Netflix’s head of comedy Tracey Pakosta.
“It’s very early stages. She came in, and she pitched something loosely based on her life growing up, and we got very excited about it,” Pakosta shared with Deadline.
While details such as title and possible cast members are scarce at the moment, Megan Thee Stallion has been vocal about her desire to do more in the film realm. Rumors continue to fly that she has a scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film, “She-Hulk.” In February, it was also announced that she’d be starring in A24’s first-ever movie musical, titled “F*cking Identical Twins.”
The booked and busy star also has social media buzzing with talks of a possible new album after she recently delivered the boss babe empowerment anthem, “Plan B.”
