After years of online harassment, deepfake smears, and legal battles, Megan Thee Stallion walked out of a Miami federal courthouse with a simple response after her victory against Milagro Gramz.

“I’m just happy,” she told reporters as she exited the building, a moment captured by journalist Meghann Cuniff. Her short statement came after a jury found the blogger, whose legal name is Milagro Cooper, liable for defamation and emotional distress. The verdict also held her responsible for promoting a fake, sexually explicit video of the rapper and working alongside Tory Lanez to attack Megan’s credibility after the 2020 shooting.
The jury awarded Megan $75,000 in damages, which was later adjusted to $59,000 by Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga. Cooper was found to have deliberately fueled a harmful narrative against the Grammy-winning artist, using her platform to spread false content and incite harassment online.
The case follows the 2022 conviction of Tory Lanez, who was found guilty of shooting Megan in the foot after a party at Kylie Jenner’s home. He is currently serving up to 10 years in prison.
Megan has spoken openly about the mental toll the incident and the years of public targeting have taken on her, and now, she will be compensated for her pain.
