Megan Thee Stallion has once again sweetly expressed her love for Cardi B and their friendship, which has blossomed in the years since their megahit, “WAP.”
The Houston Hottie sat down with Shannon Sharpe, and her connection to Belcalis became the topic of conversation. The “Club Shay Shay” host said he felt Meg and Cardi had much in common, especially their “high energy.” Meg agreed, immediately doting on her dear rapper pal.
“That’s my girl,” Meg stated proudly, adding, “She is so sweet…She’s kind of shy to be Cardi B. You would think Cardi’s loud and she just don’t give a f**k…No, my girl is actually a little shy and every time we see each other, she be acting like it’s the first time she seen me ever in life.”

When speaking about their August 2020 single, “WAP,” Meg revealed that she laid down her vocals for the song in her living room during the pandemic. The 29-year-old says she recorded two verses for “WAP” and pleaded with the Bronx star to keep both. After listening to what Meg had to say on the beat, Cardi agreed. The Hot Girl coach says she was unaware of how big the track would become but was simply happy to have a song with Cardi.
“I’m so happy. That is one of my favorite songs that I’ve ever done. I love her. I’m so glad she asked me to do that,” Meg added of the now eight-times platinum cut.
Since the song was released, Meg and Cardi have collaborated several other times on “Bongos” and the “Wanna Be” remix. Last month, Meg welcomed her fellow Grammy Award winner to perform with her at the Madison Square Garden stop of her Hot Girl Summer tour.
