On Thursday, Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion made an announcement suggesting she’s taking a break to “prepare for what’s next.”
Megan posted a round of cryptic photos on her Instagram account, including a photo of her wearing a “Good News”-inspired bodysuit and oxygen mask while floating in a fluid-filled tank.
“Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle, Meg has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next,” the “WAP” rapper’s Instagram video said to her followers. “In her absence mgmt will manage all social posting on behalf of Thee Hot Girl Coach.”
“Thee Hotties lead a brave RESISTANCE in anticipation for the return of their Fearless Captain,” the video ends.
Her fan base questioned if she was gearing up for a bigger announcement, possibly a deluxe version of her debut studio album, “Good News,” that came out in November of 2020.
She then posted on Twitter that she would “be back when it’s time.” She also changed her profile picture on all her social media accounts to one of her recharging, the Insider reported.
Megan is still scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud in Miami on July 25, 2021.
